Languages of the Wider World

This book focuses on the use, teaching, and learning of languages of the wider world, specifically, those of the Middle East, Africa, Asia, the Netherlands, Scandinavia, Eastern Europe and Russia. These languages are of growing importance internationally given the emergence of new centres of capital and cultural accumulation in the 21st century.
